Job Overview: As an AI Prototyping Associate, you will be a key member of a small, agile team focused on rapid innovation. You will conduct hands-on "science experiments" - building small-scale, high-impact projects to test new ideas and demonstrate the feasibility of AI-driven solutions. This role is for a technically curious builder who is proficient in turning concepts into functional prototypes and is eager to work with emerging AI frameworks and techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Prototypes: Design, build, and test use-cases for AI projects with large language models, Big Data Platforms, and lab systems for proof-of-concept projects to address specific business or technical challenges.
• Data Preparation: Collect, preprocess, and analyze datasets to ensure high-quality input for AI models.
• Model Experimentation: Experiment with various algorithms, Large Language Models (e.g., investigating frameworks like BitNet or Agent Harnesses), and techniques to find effective solutions.
• Iterative Development: Rapidly iterate on designs, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to refine proofs of concept.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and clients to align outcomes with ACC mission goals.
• Documentation & Presentation: Document methodologies, findings, and limitations of experiments, and present results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI tools, and frameworks to enhance PoC development. Educate staff on these advancements. Recommend and champion proof of concept projects to demonstrate these capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Clearance & Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Programming Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Python and experience with its core data science and ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow). Java or web development CSS, HTML5
• Hands-On Experience: Verifiable experience building projects (academic, personal, or professional) that involve software development or data analysis
• Cross-Platform Skills: Experience working in Windows and Linux environments, including command-line administration

Skills & Experience:

• API Integration: Experience consuming REST or other APIs to connect to and exchange data with third-party services, models, and data sources.
• AI Pipeline Development: Experience building or integrating components for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, including familiarity with vector stores like ChromaDB or Pinecone.
• Containerization: Practical experience using Docker to build and run applications. Kubernetes is a plus.
• Generative AI & LLMs: Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI platforms for tasks such as code generation, data augmentation, and workflow automation.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and GitHub for collaborative development.
• Supporting Technologies: Familiarity with Linux Shell and Windows Powershell scripting for automations.
