In August 2013 WTI was informed we were a member of a winning team for an IDIQ with the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute (FSI). FSI is the federal government’s primary training institution for officers and support personnel of the U.S. foreign affairs community. FSI prepares American diplomats and other professionals to advance U.S. foreign affairs interests overseas and in Washington, DC. Place of performance is at the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center in Arlington, Virginia. FSI provides more than 400 classroom courses, including more than 70 foreign languages, to more than 42,000 individuals annually from the State Department and 40 other government agencies and the military service branches. Additionally, FSI enrolls over 5,900 State employees into outside training programs and provides over 22,000 State employees with access to several thousand commercial distance learning courses.
The Corporate Systems Division under the Executive Office of the Foreign Service Institute is responsible for the information technology software solutions that support the business processes of the Foreign Service Institute. Corporate Systems provides the Department of State’s official training and training support systems. Corporate Systems supports domestic offices and overseas posts through multiple systems and applications. Corporate Systems also provides an Internet-based platform for the Department’s worldwide Distance Learning program. FSI is the Department’s official custodian of training records and, through Corporate Systems, provides training-related data to other bureaus in the Department using various custom data interfaces.
Our team will assist FSI with development, implementation, and maintenance of information technology software solutions to support the business processes of the Foreign Service Institute.
